Registration

Registration is open for the Third North American Sea Duck Conference. Please note that the non-profit organization Regroupement QuébecOiseaux administrates the conference budget and is responsible for the registration of participants.

The registration fee includes all presentations, opening reception, poster reception, complimentary breakfasts, refreshment breaks, as well as a hard copy of programme and abstracts. The registration fee does not include the conference banquet, for which a ticket has to be purchased (CAD $35).

Opening Reception (Monday, Nov. 10) will be held at Hôtel Château Laurier and will include one drink as well as hot and cold canapés.

Complimentary Breakfasts (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Nov. 11-14) will be served at Hôtel Château Laurier and will include orange juice, breakfast pastries, assorted muffins, banana bread, bagels, egg/cheese/ham wraps, omelettes, fresh sliced fruits, yoghourt, coffee, tea, and herbal tea.

Poster Reception (Tuesday, Nov. 11) will be held at Hôtel Château Laurier and will include one drink as well as hot and cold food.

Conference Banquet

The registration fee does not include the banquet, which is scheduled for Thursday night (Nov. 13). Tickets to the banquet cost CAD $35 and will include a high-quality, 5-service dinner, 375 ml of wine (half a bottle), and a state-of-the-art show. Paper and posters awards, as well as various participation prizes should also be presented in the course of the evening banquet.

We encourage every delegate to participate to the Conference Banquet, as it should be a festive, memorable evening.

Early registration (ends on 13 June 2008)

  • Student: CAD $150
  • Standard: CAD $200

Regular registration (starts on 14 June 2008; ends on 19 Sept 2008)

  • Student: CAD $200
  • Standard: CAD $250

On-site registration (after 19 Sept 2008)

  • Student: CAD $250
  • Standard: CAD $300

Any participant registering as a student must provide his/her affiliation (university and advisor).

Participants presenting at the conference are required to be registered no later than 19 September 2008. Presenters not registered by that time may have their presentations deleted from the final program.

Cancellation

All cancellations are subject to a CAD $50 service charge. Cancellations must be made by notifying, by writing via email or regular mail, Regroupement QuébecOiseaux. Cancellation notices received by October 3 will be refunded the total registration fees minus the CAD $50 service charge, but only after the conference. No refunds will be issued on cancellations received after 3 October 2008.

How to Register

We strongly encourage participants to register using this online system, where they will have to select their registration category (Standard or Student), decide if they want to attend the conference banquet (accompanied or not), complete a registration form, and then choose the way they wish to pay their registration (credit card, money order or check). All credit card transactions (VISA or MasterCard) will be processed through a secure web site using SSL (secure socket layer) technology, which is the industry-standard method for protecting web communications.

If you do not want to register online, please fill out (electronically) this PDF active registration form and send it to Regroupement QuébecOiseaux by postal mail along with your payment. You may either pay by check, money order or credit card (VISA or MasterCard).

Individuals will not be registered without full payment. Participants will receive an email confirming registration once payment has been received.
